Originally established in 1948 as a local family business, Oprema has evolved from its humble roots into a European powerhouse in the production of cooling and dispensing equipment. While the company’s current assortment
of products began in 1976, a signi昀椀cant new chapter opened in 2024 when Oprema o昀케cially became a member
of the Micro Matic family. Today, the company manages a dedicated team of over 300 employees and exports
its high-quality solutions to over 50 markets worldwide. With a yearly output of 50,000 units, Micro Matic Oprema
stands as the European production leader in its industry, prioritizing lean management and a deeply rooted commitment to environmental sustainability.
A Vision Powered by the Sun
At the heart of companies green transition is a major infrastructure upgrade: the Solar Power Plant upgrade.
Co-funded by the Modernization Fund through an agreement with the Croatian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, this project marks a turning point in the factory’s energy independence.
The scale of this investment, formalized in a Grant Agreement on December 27, 2023, is designed to deliver immediate environmental bene昀椀ts:

Renewable Capacity: The installation of a solar power plant with a nominal power of 418 kW.
Clean Energy Production: An expected yield of 409.84 MWh per year from renewable sources.
E昀케ciency Gains: A signi昀椀cant 57% reduction in reference energy consumption.
Carbon Mitigation: A minimum reduction of 65.16 tCO2e per year, contributing to a cumulative lifetime saving
of over 1,006 tones of tCO2e.
